What We Do
Kind of whatever we want. p53 is founded on the concept that creativity expressed is a LOT better than creativity suppressed or repressed or any other kind of pressed that keeps us from evolving into a bigger, better organism. Music used to be the focus, but even music isn't the ultimate focus of music anymore. Art farm, art collective... Too fancy... How about "creative types creating for creativity's sake"... something about trying to help save the world in there, too.

Our Approach

Everything is permitted. Do as thou wilt. You can look at Aleister Crowley, William S. Burroughs and Hunter S. Thompson as heretics, bon vivants or just plain over-indulgent Id-surfers, but the consistency of their message paints a clear image of an existence that is meant to be enjoyed, explored and ultimately, existed. I'm not saying creativity for creativity's sake is the font of genius, but to truly find oneself, you have to be prepared to accept whatever it is that you find. And the only way you're going to find stuff is if you start digging around, sorting stuff out and trying stuff on. p53 allows us to try things on in a way that working under our regular names does not. The primary focus of p53 is creativity born from collaboration, of taking chances and studying the results.
